Here is a quick look at what activities are on this month for you to enjoy and to help you get active.
Health cycle rides
Free volunteer led rides to help improve your health and wellbeing. These are held at:
- Moors Valley Country Park every Wednesday 10am to 11am
- Ferndown Forest Golf Course every Tuesday 10am to 11am
- Kingston Lacy House every Thursday 10am to 11am
- The Palm Tree Cafe, Weymouth, every other Wednesday 10am to 11am
Dorset Health Walks
Free led walks throughout Dorset to help improve your health and wellbeing.
Nordic Walking workouts and Wellness walks
Suitable for people who have completed a "Get into Nordic walking course" to help maintain fitness and to enjoy being out in the fresh air.
Try Orienteering
An opportunity to learn the basic skills of Orienteering with a member of Wimborne Orienteering club at Moors Valley Country Park, Golf and Activity Centre. Suitable for 8 years and over. Call 01425 480811 to book. Saturday 6 September from 1:30pm to 3pm, £4 per person.
Couch to 5K at Moors Valley Country Park
With the support of a volunteer run leader, this Couch to 5K programme will help you to develop your running fitness over 9 weeks following the Couch to 5K NHS app. Booking is essential by calling 01425 480811. A course is £10 per person and starts at Moors Valley Country Park, Golf and Activity Centre. Car parking is included for the 9 week course.
From Monday 15 September through until Monday 10 November 9:30am to 10:15am.
Free Nordic Walking tasters
With the support from a qualified Nordic Walking Instructor these tasters will give you an idea of what Nordic Walking involves and to see if this would be an activity for you. These sessions are free of charge. To book your place on one of these sessions call 01425 480811.
