Hello festival goers!

Instead of sticking on our virtual backgrounds, we will be travelling around Dorset showcasing and experiencing what Dorset’s digital future has to offer in person.  You will have registered either to attend ‘in person’ or to watch the livestream.

If you attend in person:

  • you don’t need a tent, but you may wish to bring a camping chair, rug, picnic etc
  • stay hydrated: bring plenty of water and, if it is unseasonably hot, maybe sun cream and a hat too
  • prepare and dress for the weather, we will be outside and not every site has shelter
  • feel free to dress in casual wear, the brighter the better!
  • masks are not mandatory, but you are welcome to wear one with us
  • please be mindful and respect others who may want to social distance and limit physical contact such as handshakes
  • where there are not permanent toilets available, we will have a portable loo
  • travel, parking, and access details will be provided in an email the week before the event as will site accessibility information
  • feel free to take photos and post on social media using #FutureFest21
  • photos and filming will be taking place, please contact one of the crew on site if you do not want your image being used for communications and marketing
  • most of all we want you to ask questions, join in and have fun!
  • if you experience any COVID-19 symptoms before the event please follow the government guidance

Livestream

If you are watching the livestream, you can still get into the festival spirit:

  • join us from the garden
  • listen in whilst you go for a walk
  • put some bunting up
  • ask questions using slido code

Cancelations

Please note, there are some circumstances in which we may have to cancel something from our planned line up:

  • in the event of significant rain or extreme weather
  • there is still a risk that speakers or crew may be affected by COVID19
