The purpose of the Dorset Community Safety Partnership (CSP)
To deliver safer communities as set out in the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and relevant legislation.
The CSP will co-ordinate community safety activity in Dorset at a strategic level:
- to reduce crime and the fear of crime
- to address the risk, threat and harm to victims and local communities
- facilitate the strengthening of Dorset's communities in the delivery of local initiatives

Membership
- Dorset Council
- Dorset Police
- Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group
- Dorset Fire Authority
- Probation Service (Dorset)
Other community safety partners such as the Youth Offending Service, Public Health, Adult and Children's Services and the Fire & Rescue Service are invited to attend meetings of the Dorset CSP if they wish.
