There are two health walks in Weymouth which are mostly flat.
The route taken on the day is agreed at the beginning of the walk and is dependent on the ability and preference of those attending.
All abilities are welcome and the walk can stretch out to different paces. There is no pressure and no one is ever left behind as the pace of the walk is dictated by the rear walker. Our walks last approximately 45 minutes.
Dogs on a discretionary basis, please get in touch with the local contact before attending.

Tuesday 17 June | Park and ride car park near Sainsburys (meet near the brick building. There is free car parking and the postcode for sat/nav is DT3 5HJ. There is also bus route no. 6). | Our walk leaders will lead us to Lorton Meadows to enjoy the flower meadows and butterflies. The walk will be mainly on grass tracks, with some slopes, uneven ground & a chance of a bit of mud in places. There may be livestock (and potential for ticks), so please wear suitable footwear and clothing. The back up route for bad weather / mud will start in the same place but head past the Rugby Club, through the Country Park and back along the path through RSPB Lodmoor - all flat paths and either gravel or tarmac. Duration 80 to 90 mins, with a quick rest stop halfway |
Health questionnaire
If you are a new walker to the Weymouth health walk scheme, we ask that you complete an annual Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire on arrival. Please allow an extra 10 minutes to complete the form. We ask you to complete this once a year or if your health condition changes.
