I am Chairman of the Steering Group of Shaftesbury & District Dementia Friendly Community. This charitable organisation seeks to raise awareness of the challenges faced by people living with dementia, and to publicise those facilities available to them. We have created a local singing group ("Melodies Remembered"), which meets fortnightly. We are funded by grants from local charities, including Shaftesbury Town Council.
