It is great that you are already showing an interest in working at Dorset Council. It is something you will not regret. I have had the privilege of working in Children’s Services here since 2009 and remained an employee during the transformation to our unitary council.
I have been empowered and enabled in my various roles since 2009. Consequently I have thrived as a practitioner and leader. Despite being with the same employer for 13 years, I have had a diverse range of experiences that have enabled personal and professional growth. I feel able to be my authentic self at work.
As well as being a leader, I am a learner, a mum, an avid reader and a lover of the natural world. Working for the council has allowed me to be all these things, whilst challenging me to embrace new experiences and high levels of challenge. I have been able to achieve at work and at home and have been proactively supported to achieve balance.
I have also enjoyed employee benefits including a salary sacrifice scheme to lease an electric vehicle and the cycle to work scheme.
