Hillside Car Scheme
A door-to-door service provided for all medical related appointments, hospital visiting,shopping and social activities. Journeys to airports are not undertaken.
All clients must be registered with the scheme in order to use this service. To book a car, a minimum of 48 hours prior notice is requested. All volunteer drivers are insured and checked by the Disclosure & Barring Service.
Who it's for
Anyone within our catchment area who for any reason, including impaired mobility, is unable to use or gain access to public transport.
Costs
A donation of 50p per mile is requested from driver’s door to driver’s door. No charge is made for waiting time. All distances considered.
