Summer 2021, we are ready for you and want to make this summer the best one yet. Check out our range fantastic summer activities to make your child's summer holiday one to remember. Most of our activities can be booked by calling our reception on 01929 500 000. However some of the activities will need to be booked directly with the activity provider.

We are also delighted to be offering an Active Youth kids' club running throughout August, Monday to Thursday,10am to 2pm.

Fire lighting and shelter building 

Sessions running on Monday 26 July, 9 August, 16  August and 23 August at £15 per person.

Suitable for children ages 8 to 11. Getting back to basics, children will learn to build a watertight shelter. Then making a small fire to cook some marshmallows and dampers. A really fun forest school activity. 

Just Dance

Sessions running on Tuesday 27 July, 10 August and 17 August at 10:45am to 11:45am, £5.75 per child

A fun packed dance class for children to learn a new dance routines to their favourite tunes. Sure to have them dancing all summer long. A perfect class to bring a friend along to. What's better than dancing with your friends? 

Mini Medics

Sessions running on Tuesday 27 July and Tuesday 24 August, 9.30am to 12pm at £25

Suitable for children aged 8 to 11 years. Mini medics is a First Aid course to teach children essential lifesaving techniques that everyone should learn. Includes:

  • looking at hazards
  • DR.ABC, (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing and Circulation)
  • CPR,  
  • Defib
  • getting help
  • choking
  • recovery position
  • wounds and bandages

An invaluable course for any young person. 

Kids' Tennis Camp - running every week

Sessions run Tuesday and Wednesday, 27 and 28 July, 10 and 11 August, 17 and 18 August, 24 and 25 August. At a cost of £15 per day.

Popular with children every school holiday, Neil's Tennis Camp will be running between 2pm and 5pm. Suitable for ages 4 to 14. Football Fun Day - runs throughout the summer, every week

Sessions run on Tuesday 27 and Thursday 29 July, Tuesday 3 August, Tuesday 10 and Thursday 12 August, Tuesday 19 August, Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 August and Thursday 2 September.

Children can enjoy a fun packed day of footy, lots of tournaments, skill challenges and even prizes! Children should wear appropriate footwear and clothing, bring a drink and have suitable clothing in case of bad weather.

Wipeout World

24 and 25 July - Lots of other dates available throughout the summer!

Wipeout World XXL will be in Dorset this summer, book directly on the Wipeout World website.

Now bigger and better than ever before! Expect to dash through the 50ft obstacle course, tumble from the big red balls and be swept off your feet by the Spinning Wipeout Beams! That's not all - there's a total of 16 activities for you and your friends to enjoy.

Get unlimited use of all 18 activities for 1 hour and 30 minutes for just £12.99. 

Action Zone

Every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer 3.30pm to 5pm, £3.50 per induction and session.

Suitable for children 10 to 14 years. Action Zone is a chance for our younger customers to use the gym equipment. The first session will need to be an induction to ensure correct use. Inductions must be booked in advance. Children must be accompanied by an adult member who has completed an induction.

Orienteering 

Every Tuesday throughout the summer holidays, 9am to 2pm, £4.75 per person

Suitable for children aged 8 and over, children can participate with friends or why not come along as a family. Lots of friendly competition and a fun few hours of orienteering lead by a member of our team. Booking in advance is essential for all activities, please call us on 01929 500 000.

Nerf Gun fun in the sports hall

Sessions run on Fridays throughout the summer holidays on 6, 13, 21, 27 August and 1 September. There is also a session on Saturday 21 August.

Times are as follows:

  • for ages 7 to 12 years
  • 10am to 11am 
  • 11.15am to 12.15pm 

Target practice and lots of fun battles. Kids can blast their way to victory in this fun packed hour. 

 Acrobatics and Acrodance

Sessions running on Tuesday 27 July,  Tuesday 10 August and Tuesday 17 August, 10.15am to 11.10am, £5.25 per session, suitable for 5 to 11 year olds.

Fun with dance, games and acrobatics. Children will learn new moves and tricks to put into a routine. A great activity to make new friends, have loads of fun and learn lots too.

Archery 

Sessions running on Thursday 5 August, Thursday 19 August and Thursday 26 August, 10am to 11.30am, £13.15, suitable for 8 to 14 year olds.

Have a go session, children will learn how to shoot a bow and arrow with members of the Bowmen of Lytchett Archery Club. Children should wear sturdy shoes/trainers. 

Bikeability Level 2

1 day course on 1 September, Limited spaces available so book fast! 9am to 11.30am, £3 booking fee only, suitable for over 9's.

The Bikeability Level 2 course aims to develop riders’ skills and confidence for cycling on single-lane roads and simple junctions with mostly moderate motor traffic flows (where riders encounter vehicles with progressively greater frequency in each module), and prepares riders for cycling on more complex, often busier or faster roads and junctions. Riders must have fully demonstrated Bikeability Level 1 National Standard assessment criteria before they start Bikeability Level 2 training.

Bikeability Level 3

1 day course on 2 September, Limited spaces so book fast! 9am to 11am, suitable for over 9's.

The Bikeability Level 3 course aims to develop riders’ skills and confidence so they can ride in diverse road environments, including complex, often busy roads and junctions, sometimes with speed limits above 30 mph. Successful demonstration of National Standard assessment criteria in Bikeability Level 2 is a prerequisite for participation in Bikeability Level 3.
