Comment on a proposed moving TRO
Notice is hereby given that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
When the Experimental Order comes into operation on the 2 February 2026 the effect will be to prohibit the driving of motor vehicles on a section of Lenthay Road, Sherborne during the hours of 2:45pm until 3:30pm on every school day.
The reasons for proceeding by way of experimental order is to assess the effects of the changes before Dorset Council considers whether the provisions of the Experimental Traffic Regulation Order shall continue in force indefinitely. Relevant exemptions will apply where appropriate and as necessary in accordance with the provisions of the Order.

Notice is hereby given that the Dorset Council Traffic Manager in exercise of the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police hereby modifies the experimental traffic order named above as follows;
The restricted hours implemented by the experimental order to apply between the hours of 8.20am until 8.30am and 3.20pm until 3.30pm, Monday to Friday on every school day.

When the Order comes into operation on 6th August 2026 the effect of the Order will be to introduce a 30mph speed limit along part of Washpond Lane, Herston, Swanage, from its junction with the High Street, in a northerly direction for approximately 1.1 kilometres to its junction with Burnhams Lane.

• Prohibit any vehicle (except local buses and pedal cycles) to enter or proceed on a section along Mampitts Road, Shaftesbury
• Prohibit any vehicle to turn left (except local buses and pedal cycles) from Pound Lane onto Mampitts Road, Shaftesbury
