Static TROs are for restrictions such as double yellow lines. They keep traffic moving and provide parking for residents and visitors.

For speed limits or weight limits, see moving TROs.

Who enforces restrictions

On private land, the landowner or their nominated enforcement private parking operator can enforce restrictions.

Dangerous parking is a criminal offence. Only the police can take enforcement action for dangerous parking, such as:

  • parking within 10 metres of a junction where there are no restrictions in place
  • parking on the pavement
