Apply for or renew a permit

Complete the form to apply for a new permit or renew an existing permit.

Parking permit terms

Permits are allocated in the first instance to residents whose sole or main home is within the district (as defined for Council Tax purposes). Permits may also be exceptionally allocated for parking spaces that would otherwise be vacant.

Permits are issued for the whole of the financial year or the remaining period to the end of the financial year. Refunds will only be given in cases where a permit is relinquished on health grounds or if the permit holder moves out of the immediate area and will be subject to an administration fee.

Unreserved permits

An unreserved parking permit allows the permit holder to park in the designated car park, but does not guarantee the use of a particular space or the use of any space at all times. In the busiest times no space may be available and permit holders would have to park elsewhere at their own expense.

Reserved permits

A reserved parking permit ensures a space is provided at all times. Parking permits are not transferable to other parking places.
