Changes to permits

We are changing the way that we process resident, long stay and short stay parking permits in the East Dorset area. However this has been delayed due to the unprecedented effects of COVID-19 and as a result, we will be issuing paper permits until the new MiPermit system is ready to go live.

If you applied previously, we've written to you with an application form which can be returned by post or email. For residential permits please include your council tax reference number in the relevant section on the application form. Permits no longer have a specific start date, and will run for the purchased amount of time from the date the permit is issued and sent out.

When it is time to renew the permit, this will be done on the new MiPermit system. We will write to you when MiPermit is up and running.
