The Superfast Dorset programme is made up of 3 projects, with contracts awarded to BT and delivered by Openreach.

The programme has been funded by:

The latest phase of the programme, Phase 3 Ultrafast project, has been funded by BDUK, Openreach and a £2M grant from the Dorset LEP.

An extension of that programme was supported by a £1.026 million Rural Broadband Infrastructure grant from the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE), drawn from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, to bring enhanced broadband connectivity to rural businesses.

These ultrafast broadband roll-outs have now been completed and build on the success of our Superfast Dorset programme. It has seen ultrafast broadband delivered to even more homes and businesses across the county, the vast majority of which is future-proof full-fibre and capable of Gigabit speeds.
