The Recovery Toolkit
The Recovery Toolkit is a trauma focused cognitive behavioural therapy programme. It is suitable for women not currently in an abusive relationship.
The aim of the course is to empower participants with lifelong skills, tools and techniques to effectively make healthy relationship choices.
The course will cover:
- self esteem and affirmations
- the power of positive self talk
- anger, conflict and assertiveness
- boundaries and trust
- healthy relationships
The course is a cognitive behavioural therapy programme based on guidelines set by The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for treating trauma. Courses run for 12 weeks (excluding school half term). All sessions MUST be attended.
Self referrals and agency referrals are accepted. It is recommended, but not compulsory, that participants attend the Freedom Programme before the Recovery Toolkit. There is an initial assessment prior to commencing the course to ensure that it is right for the individual.
