Children’s school holiday activities
The Purbeck Sports Centre offers a range of activities for children and young people every school holiday. We aim to deliver a diverse mix of activities to appeal to children of all ages. All of the activities available are for mixed ability, so children needn't worry if they are a total beginner.
Holiday activities need to be booked in advance. Payment will be taken at the time of booking. Kids Tennis and Football fun need to be booked directly with the clubs. Details of how to book those activities are available below in the activities listing.
In the unfortunate event that we have to cancel an activity that your children are booked onto, we will contact you directly to arrange a refund.
Intensive swimming lessons
Date: Monday 26 October to Thursday 29 October
Times:
- 8:45am to 9:15am, Early Steps 1
- 9:15am to 9:45am, Early Steps 2 (must be able to swim 15m unaided front and back)
Price: £28.80 per person
Suitable for age 3+
Stroke technique workshops
Date: Monday 26 October to Wednesday 28 October
Time: 8:45am to 9:30am
Price: £32.40 per person
Master all four strokes in one workshop. Improve your technique in front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly. Join our three-day workshop to refine your skills and build confidence in the water. Swimmers must be able to swim 25m competently to take part.
Private swimming lessons
Date: Monday 26 October to Thursday 29 October

- 9:15am to 9:45am
Price:
- 1:1 30 minute session £21
- 1:2 30 minute session £23.10
Ideal for those wanting to build confidence, refine stroke technique or water skills.
Pool Inflatable Swim Sessions
Dates and times:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1:30pm to 2:30pm
- Saturdays, 2:45pm to 3:45pm
Price: £5.50 per person
Jump, climb and slide your way to the end of the 15m floating 'whirlgig' obstacle course.
