Project: To help this new football club to purchase equipment, kits and coach qualifications.
Grant: £1,000
Area of benefit: Weymouth
The application requested funds to set up a brand-new football club for the next season with the aim to provide fun football to girls and boys in the community.
The grant enabled:
the purchase of playing kit
the purchase of equipment
the cover of registration fees
support opportunities for the children out of season
the offer of training sessions for children to get the involved in football
The grant successfully enabled more children to play football and now see 40 to 50 young people per week and the club has created 2,000 volunteering hours.
