Purbeck Sports Centre Summer term swimming timetable

The pool at Purbeck Sports Centre is heated to 29 degrees and is open for public swimming 7 days a week.

The swimming pool is shared with the Purbeck School who have priority daytime use however, we do aim to provide as much public daytime swimming as we can.

Lockers

Our lockers take £2 coins. We are able to give out coins in exchange for two £1 coins but please bring a £2 coin with you where possible.

Admission Policy

View our swimming pool admissions policy for guidance and information about using the pool. Children under the age of 8 must be supervised by an adult on a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children during all sessions.

Our Sessions

We offer a variety of swim sessions, which include:

early bird lane swim / lane swim: slow, medium, fast lanes
swim school lessons: bookable in advance
parent and baby swimming lessons: bookable in advance
private swimming lessons: bookable in advance
pool inflatable: a large inflatable obstacle course in the centre of the swimming pool. Suitable for:
- those over 5 years old and must be able to swim 25m without aids
- under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult on a 1 adult to 2 children ratio
general public: open to all
family fun: family session with floats and balls. Children must swim accompanied by an adult. All adults swimming must be accompanying a child. Please note, this session is not included in gold card membership
pool playtime: kids fun session with floats and balls. No lane swimming
