Prize gaming is low‑stakes gambling where the prize’s type and value are fixed in advance and do not depend on the number of players or the money taken. It can include games like bingo or roulette, provided fees and prizes stay within regulatory limits. Prizes may be cash or non‑cash.
A Prize Gaming Permit is required if the premises is not already authorised by a Gambling Premises Licence, a Family Entertainment Centre Permit, or operating as a travelling fair.
Fees
The fee for a prize gaming permit is £300.
