Phil Bates - Up Close and Personal

After nearly 60 years man and boy playing music former ELO 2 star Phil Bates will be bringing the curtain down on his outstanding musical career at the end of 2026. There have been lots of highs his time playing all over the world with ELO 2.

Phil set will include lots of his own material. He has recorded and released five critically acclaimed solo albums since departing from ELO 2 for a while he was a member of the highly regarded and respected Eleanor Rigby Experience who specialised in reworkings of  some of the songs of Lennon, McCartney and Harrison so you can expect a few Beatles tunes at his show. But of course the show wouldn’t be complete without lots of those famous Jeff Lynne songs that made ELO one of the biggest and most successful bands in the world. The show is 75 minutes long.
