You can pay online by debit or credit card.

You will need the reference number from our correspondence.

Planning application

The cost of your planning application will depend on the type and scale of your development. Use the Planning Portal Fee Calculator to calculate the cost online. If you are applying via the Planning Portal, any fee due must be paid directly to the planning portal before your application can be sent to us.

To pay planning application fees you will need to enter the application reference number. This can be found on correspondence sent to you.

Pre-Application or Permitted Development enquiries

Payment is normally made by following the instructions online when you submit your enquiry.

If a payment was not made at the time of submission, you can make it here. You will need your reference number, which can be found on the correspondence we sent you.

Planning history search

Pay for a Planning history searches, you will need reference number, this can be found on correspondence sent to you. We aim to respond to requests within 10 working days of payment.

Additional fee for invalid applications

When a planning application is submitted, it must include all the required information to be considered valid. However, many applications we receive are incomplete or invalid, which leads to additional work. Under Section 93 of the Local Government Act 2003, we are required to charge for this extra work.

A charge will apply to any application that is submitted and later found to be invalid. The charge will be based on the planning application fee.

To pay an invalid application fee online, you will need to enter the application reference number.This can be found on correspondence sent to you.
