Our Healthy Homes Dorset programme offers free and independent energy advice to all residents across Dorset.
Insulation grants
If someone in your household is vulnerable, has a health condition, is over 65 or has a child under 5, you may also be eligible for a grant to help with:
- cavity wall insulation
- loft insulation
Additional funding for heating and renewable energy
Some residents may also qualify for other funding to help:
- improve existing heating
- switch to a low-carbon heating source (such as a heat pump)
- install other insulation, heating, or renewable energy measures

Help to upgrade your boiler
You may also qualify for a grant to install a heat pump or biomass boiler through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme if you:
- own the property you’re applying for (including if it’s a business, a second home, or a property you rent out to tenants)
- are replacing a fossil fuel heating system - such as oil, gas, electric or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas)
