Why I work for Dorset Council

I have been with Dorset Council for the past 3 months and had previously worked in a different sector. I had been on the lookout for a role within an HR team for a while which had development opportunities, so I was delighted when I was offered the role of HR and Payroll Assistant. I am currently studying outside of work, so a flexible and part-time position has been perfect for maintaining work/life balance which is one of the great benefits of working for Dorset Council. I really enjoy my role as there is a lot of variety and I like to be kept busy. I also like interacting with colleagues from across Dorset Council and Tricuro and supporting them with their HR and Payroll.

I am looking forward to undertaking the HR and Payroll progression scheme that Dorset Council has to offer and continuing to learn and challenge myself. I am so grateful to my team and colleagues for all their support and knowledge throughout my first couple of months at Dorset Council. It really is a great place to work.
