| The Place-Based Initiative/The Great Collaboration (PBI / TGC) is a national group backed by the Society of Local Council Clerks and National Association of Local Councils to provide free resources for town and parish councils and community groups on nature, climate and sustainability policies, projects and action. I'm a Trustee of PBI Ltd (a not-for-profit company applying for charitable status) and on the Steering Group of TGC. I'm a Trustee of Dorset Climate Action Network (DCAN) which provides networking and facilitation for environmental groups in Dorset. I lead the Carbon Literacy team which offers training for town and parish councillors and community groups, which earns some modest revenue for DCAN as the facilitators volunteer to deliver the training. I'm on the Steering Group of Dorset for Europe, a group campaigning for closer ties with Europe. I'm an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Managers and Assessors, soon to be re-named the Institute of Sustainability Professionals, which is the professional association for people in this field (mostly in business). |
