Free start-up support for Dorset entrepreneurs
People looking to start a business in Dorset can access a new programme of free support, funded by Dorset Council and delivered in partnership by Evolve.
Running from November 2026 to March 2027, the programme includes Start Up Business Breakfasts and The Start Line workshops, designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners develop skills, build confidence and connect with others.
Business Breakfasts will offer networking opportunities, advice from experienced business owners and information on funding and local support.
The Start Line workshops will provide practical guidance for those exploring a business idea or taking their first steps into self-employment. Covering areas such as identifying customers, marketing, financial planning and the practical considerations of setting up a business, the sessions also provide an opportunity for participants to discuss their individual ideas and challenges with an experienced business advisor.
Events will take place across Dorset, helping more residents turn their business ideas into reality.
