Online self-help platform
Bridgit is an online self-service platform available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Carers can:
- telephone Bridgit the AI Carer Coach to ask questions on 01305 237 395
- chat with Bridgit online or read the web pages
- create a self-help plan
- request a Carer pre-assessment with Help & Care, or start a Carer Assessment
- apply for a Dorset Carer Friendly ID Card
- find out about local events
- read about support available in Dorset
Check your eligibility and start your own carer's assessment
Bridgit also gives you access to the first stage of a carer's assessment. You can answer a set of questions online at a time that suits you, and submitting them will begin the process.
Your information is then followed up by Help & Care, Dorset Carer Service, on behalf of Dorset Council. They will talk with you about what you would like to achieve and offer guidance and support. If you wish, Help & Care can then refer you to Dorset Council for a full Carer’s Assessment.
Alternatively, you can choose to contact Dorset Council directly.
We would recommend working through the self-help tools on Bridgit and talking with Help & Care, Dorset Carer Service before starting a Carer Assessment.
