The original version of the Bere Regis Neighbourhood Plan was made (adopted) on 25 June 2019. A review of the plan was submitted for examination in May 2026.

Bere Regis Neighbourhood Plan Review

The Bere Regis Neighbourhood Plan Review is being examined by Andrew Mead BSc (Hons) MRTPI MIQ. He will consider whether the plan meets certain basic conditions and satisfies legal requirements. Updates regarding the examination process will be published on this page. The examiner’s report will be published on this page at the end of the process.

On 3 August 2026 the examiner wrote to Dorset Council and Bere Regis Parish Council with a number of questions. The two councils responded on 17 August. 

On 3 August 2026 the examiner accepted comments from Bere Regis Parish Council in response to comments made by Dorset Council during the Regulation 16 consultation. 

On 28 July 2026 the examiner wrote to Dorset Council and the parish council to clarify several initial procedural matters.

Bere Regis Neighbourhood Plan - original version

The original Bere Regis Neighbourhood Plan was formally made on Tuesday 25 June 2019 as shown on the decision notice.

The decision notice shows how the full Council meeting held on Tuesday 19th March 2019 decided the plan should proceed to referendum following the examiners report.
