Michael Edwards, aka ‘Eddie the Eagle’ found fame as the first competitor to represent Team GB in Olympic Ski jumping. After learning to ski at the Gloucester Ski & Snowboard Centre, he went on to hold the British ski jumping record from 1988 to 2001. Eddie’s life story was featured in the Oscar nominated film ‘Eddie The Eagle’ starring Taron Egerton and Hugh Jackman.
