Autumn climbing club

These sessions are aimed at youngsters aged 11 to 18, who are keen to learn the ropes or improve their existing climbing skills. The group are split into ability and will have one hour in the indoor climbing wall. The aim is to progress skills in a indoor setting before progressing onto the real rock of Portland come spring 2025. 

Autumn climbing club information:

  • wednesday evenings from after October half term
  • beginners 5pm to 6pm
  • improvers 6pm to 7pm
  • £11 per session, bookable per half term block

Weekday WILD Sessions - home education

Join the instructors for a fun packed adventure session. Activities range from indoor climbing, archery and tunnels to off site rock hops, orienteering and watersports. 

  • open for all 8 to 16 year olds
  • £18 per half day session / £36 full day
  • either a morning 10am to midday or afternoon 1pm to 3pm session or bring a packed lunch and stay all day 10am to 3pm 
  • minibus transfers and all equipment is provided
  • parent / guardian drop off and collection - we can not accommodate waiting onsite

Tunnel-tastic Saturday sessions

Listen to a safety briefing, fasten your head torch then head in to explore the cavernous indoor tunnel system and find the secret chambers including a glow up ball pit. 

Tunnel-tastic Saturday sessions:

  • 45 minute indoor tunnelling 
  • open for all 6 to 16 year olds
  • parent / guardian to stay on site (non fee paying)
  • choose either 2pm or 3pm on Saturday 18 October 
  • £5 per person

Short Break SEND activity sessions - bookings for October opening soon

Please check back into the autumn term to book. 

£6 per person, per half day session.

Join the friendly team of instructors to explore adventure sports in a small and supportive group. Open to young people with mild to moderate needs. These sessions are part of the Short Break scheme, providing a short break to parents and guardians. Sessions are part funded by Dorset Council. Please get in touch if you have any difficulty paying the sessional rate as we want all families to have the opportunity to book.

Parent / guardian drop off and collection - we can not accommodate waiting onsite without prior agreement.

Holiday activity program - Christmas dates coming soon

Holiday activity program:

  • open to ages 8 to 16

We would like to invite young people of the local area to join us for a day of activities and a nutritious hot lunch at Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre. Find more information on HAF funding and get a passcode.

The team at Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre will allocate places and email you confirmation in due course.

We offer additional support, by means of a small group of 12 children with two instructors. 1:1 support can be requested and funded by the HAF provision but this must be communicated and arranged in advance. Please note this request on your application form. 

Lunch is provided by Loose Moose Catering in Weymouth. The children will enjoy a nutritious hot meal, a piece of fruit, and a bakery treat. If you would prefer to bring a packed lunch, please do so.

  • choose either a morning 9:30am to 12:30pm or afternoon 1:30pm to  4:30pm session for £26.50 per half day or bring a packed lunch and stay all day 9:30am to 4:30pm for £53 per full day
  • minibus transfers and all equipment is provided
  • parent / guardian drop off and collection - we can not accommodate waiting onsite
