BAT Bus SEDCAT (South East Dorset Accessible Transport)

We run a door-to-door morning shopping service to the Sovereign Centre in Boscombe and Castlepoint Shopping Centre (extra destinations to be arranged). Shopmobility is available at these destinations.

We also run a service on the first Monday of each month to Wimborne, stopping off at Waitrose and/or the town centre which can pick up Ferndown residents who wish to shop at Castlepoint.

You need to register to use this service. A programme of full day and afternoon outings is available to members. 

Who it's for

This service is for the elderly or those with a physical or sensory disability who are no longer able to use public transport.

Costs

  • full annual membership - £10 (Ferndown residents are exempt from full membership and the fee is waived)
  • morning shopping trip - £5 return
  • local outings - £7 (unless individually priced)
