These walks are short, circular trails following footpaths and quiet roads alongside the rivers Frome and Piddle at Wareham.
Purbeck's wetlands (seen at their best from autumn to spring) are fascinating, yet relatively undiscovered. They support up to 20,000 birds in the winter as well as water voles, otters, salmon and trout.
Parts of the Wareham Two Rivers Walks overlap with the Frome Valley Trail.

Walking boots are recommended all year as there are some sections which might be muddy (even in summer) wellington boots are better in winter. The bankside vegetation grows tall and thick in summer, so lightweight trousers and long sleeve t-shirts are advised to guard against brambles and nettles. |
