Fitness classes

Whether you want to improve your fitness, lose weight, tone up or are just looking for fun and motivating sessions, there are group exercises classes for everyone. From yoga to the phenomenon that is indoor cycling. All classes are to be 45 minutes in duration to ensure thorough cleaning can be completed. 

The minimum age for classes is 14 (with the exception of all weighted exercise classes which is 16) this includes Cardio/Strength and HIIT classes and others depending on the session planned. The final decision is down to the fitness instructor taking that class. Spinning classes are 16+ only due to the size of the bikes. All minors attending classes will need to be booked in with reception as normal.

Classes are free to Platinum and Active Combo members, but anyone can join in for a small activity charge, starting from £3.60. Please also see our GP referral classes.

MenoFit Strength is the perfect workout class for those going through the menopause. This light weight circuit-based class will introduce you to the benefits of strength training, helping you build a stronger and healthier body.

Beginners Yoga

Suitable for complete beginners, as well as those who prefer a simpler class. Classes are varied. 

Gentle Relaxation Yoga 10am to 11am  Studio 1 £4.65 Suitable for any beginner levels who are wanting to find movement, strength, flexibility and relaxation whilst reconnecting with breathing practices to induce well-being in the mind and body.
Circuits Gold  11:30am to 12:15pm Theatre  £4.65 A circuits workout at a lower intensity than a usual class. 
Health Circuits 2pm to 2:45pm Theatre £4.65 A gentle exercise class, fully supervised by a qualified instructor, suitable for those new to exercise of those who have a health condition.
Hub Spin  5:30pm to 6:15pm Studio 4 £6.30 A serious aerobic workout on one of our spin bikes to increase cardio endurance.
Pumpercise* 5:45pm to 6:30pm Studio 1  £6.30

Pumpercise is a fun, fast-paced, low impact workout choreographed to music that's specifically designed to help you get lean, toned and feeling fit and fabulous. In this class you will be using a variety of free weights and also your own bodyweight to sculpt and strengthen your body as well as working on your cardiovascular system. Your instructor will guide and motivate you every step of the way. Suitable for all ages.

Step and Strength 6pm to 6:45pm  Theatre £6.30 A mixture of step aerobics, body conditioning and core work to sculpt the body.
ESH Total Core

6:15pm to 6:45pm

Emmanuel Sports Hall £3.90 A 30-minute blast to tone your abdominals and improve core strength.

A type of interval training incorporating several rounds of high to low intensity workouts.

This class is ideal for anyone with mobility issues but wishing to take part in a gentle, yet stimulating, session. Predominantly chair based, the class incorporates some elements of Pilates combined with strengthening, stretching and balance work.

Dancercise is a fun energetic dance fitness class, designed to boost your endorphin levels and work your cardiovascular system. Covering a wide variety of popular dance styles alongside well-known tunes; this class has something for everybody and is adaptable for everybody. No previous dance experience required, just bring your trainers and get ready to switch off from the outside world and move and groove to the beat!
