Astro and grass pitches at Purbeck Sports Centre

Boasting some of the best outdoor facilities in Purbeck we have a full sized artificial grass pitch used for football and hockey, a rugby pitch, two full sized football pitches and a cricket square, all with use of our indoor changing rooms and use of the free car park.

Astro Football/Hockey Pitch

The astro pitch can be used as a full size football/ hockey pitch, or can be divided into 3 mini pitches for small-sided games or training. The pitch can be hired by groups or teams by the hour. Ideal for regular training sessions, tournaments or just a kick about with a group of mates.

There is a very successful Dorset County Football Association affiliated adult 6-a-side football league on Tuesday evenings (there are currently a couple of spare places for new teams), with Premier, Championship and League One divisions. Grass pitches - football

The grass football pitches are currently used to the maximum capacity. Three teams are based at the centre - Wareham Rangers Football Club first and second teams (who play in Dorset Division 1 and Dorset Division 3 respectively) and the All Stars Bar/Café team in the Sunday morning Bournemouth League 1.

Cricket pitch

The cricket pitch with an artificial grass wicket is available for hire from April to the end of August, either for a one-off or series of bookings. The grass wicket may be available at some times - please contact us if you are interested.
