Activate cycle rides in East Dorset
These health cycle rides are a great way to establish a weekly routine of exercise and offer the opportunity to get out and meet new people. Led by trained volunteer leaders, these fun and free cycle rides offer you the chance to ride with other like-minded people and feel the benefits that this fantastic exercise can offer.
Health cycle levels
60-minute ride led at a gentle, leisurely pace on flat terrain (where available) with occasional stops for people who are less active or are less confident with cycling (5-7 miles).
60-minute ride on mixed terrain, which has occasional hills. This leisurely ride is for people who are generally more active and confident on a bike (6-9 miles).

Bike hire is available at all locations for £2.50 per bike. Please contact us to reserve a bike if required.
To take part in any listed activity booking is essential in line with COVID-19 guidelines. Booking will open two weeks before activities begin in May.
Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ)
All new and returning participants are required to complete an annual Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) before attending a Health Walk or Health cycle ride.
Please do not attend any activity if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have a positive test or have been told to self-isolate in the last ten days. During your activity, social distancing is to be adhered to and please follow instructions from your Activate volunteer leader. Please note your data may be used for track and trace purposes.
