Whether you want to improve your fitness, save money, cut traffic congestion or reduce your carbon footprint, cycling has something for everyone.

Many people would like to cycle to work or for pleasure but are put off by the traffic or because they feel out of practice. A refresher cycle training session can give you added confidence.

Voucher scheme

We have teamed up with local cycling trainers who can provide cycle training to help you feel more confident and refresh your skills.

We have vouchers on offer giving you tuition at a reduced rate. These classes will have a maximum of 3 people to an instructor.

To qualify for a voucher you must live in the Dorset Council area and be aged over 18. The scheme does not cover Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Voucher details

You can buy up to three vouchers for £12.50 each but you are under no commitment to continue if you want to stop after one or two lessons.

This means you could have up to six hours bespoke cycle training at a time and location convenient to you for just £37.50.

What you'll need

Ideally you will need to bring your own bike to the sessions. If you don't own a bike but would still like to learn to ride, please contact your preferred trainer from the list below to discuss. In some instances you can borrow a bike from the instructor.

It is a good idea to have a bike helmet, you will also need lights on your bike if training at night or in dawn or dusk conditions.
