Coronavirus (COVID-19): updates and advice.

Purbeck Townscape Character Appraisals

The appraisals were consulted upon in June/July 2010 and adopted as supplementary planning documents in September 2012. The wealth of information they contain will be of general interest, and particularly useful to anyone preparing a planning application. The documents will also be used by the council in assessing development proposals. It is envisaged that use of the appraisals will help to ensure that new development takes account of and responds to local character.

  • part 5 - townscape analysis
  • part 6 - appendix - summary of stakeholder consultation
