The Bourton Village Design Statement (VDS) was prepared by the local community working together with the district council. It was adopted as a supplementary planning document at the district council's Cabinet meeting on 30 September 2011.
The Bourton Village Design Statement will encourage high quality design and safeguard local character through the adoption of a number of design guidelines that will be a material consideration for any new development in the village.
Paper copies of the Bourton VDS can be requested from Bourton Parish Council.
