Weymouth Harbour recognised as one of UK’s leading marinas
Weymouth Harbour has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading marina destinations in the Navily 2026 UK Marina Rankings, a prestigious listing based on more than 300,000 reviews from a global community of over one million boaters.
Navily, often described as the “TripAdvisor for boaters”, is a widely used international cruising guide and mobile app where users share ratings, reviews, and practical information on marinas and anchorages worldwide. In the latest rankings, Weymouth Harbour stands out for its attractive coastal setting, high-quality facilities, and excellent access to the town centre, beach, and local amenities.
This recognition reinforces Weymouth Harbour’s reputation as a welcoming and well-managed destination for both visiting and resident vessels. It also highlights the success of Dorset Council’s ongoing investment in harbour infrastructure and services, helping to ensure a positive experience for all users.
The recognition closely aligns with the council’s wider priorities to support a thriving local economy, enhanced visitor experience, and a commitment to maintain the harbour for future generations, further positioning Weymouth Harbour as a key coastal asset for the region.
Councillor Rob Hughes, Chairman of the Harbours Advisory Committee at Dorset Council, said:
“This recognition is a fantastic endorsement of Weymouth Harbour and the dedicated team who manage it. The harbour plays a vital role in supporting our local economy, attracting visitors from across the UK and beyond who contribute to local businesses, hospitality, and tourism.
Our continued investment in our harbour not only improves facilities for users but also strengthens Weymouth’s appeal as a vibrant, year-round destination.”
The Navily rankings provide valuable independent validation of Weymouth Harbour’s quality and appeal, underlining its importance as a cornerstone of Dorset’s maritime and tourism offer.
