Help inform Dorset’s Community Safety priorities
People who live or work in the Dorset Council area are being invited to share their views on community safety issues and priorities.
The Dorset Community Safety Partnership brings together Dorset Council, Dorset Police, NHS Dorset, the Probation Service, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Authority and other organisations to understand and tackle community safety issues.
Priorities for the Partnership include tackling domestic abuse and stalking, sexual offences, violent crime, anti-social behaviour and rural crime. The Partnership co-ordinates projects and initiatives to tackle priorities including raising awareness of domestic abuse and sexual offence issues, co-ordinating services for victims, working with children and young people on prevention and providing ways for people to share information about issues of concern.
The Community Safety Partnership uses a wide range of information and data, including views from people who live or work in the area, to write its three-year Community Safety Plans, which set out priorities and actions to help keep people and communities safe.
How to get involved
Residents who live or work in the Dorset Council area are invited to attend an online webinar to share their thoughts on community safety issues and priorities based on the Community Safety Partnership’s proposed new Community Safety Plan.
People wishing to take part in the online event on Thursday 18 June from 10am can register to join the webinar and find a copy of the new Plan.
The latest copy of the Community Safety Plan can be viewed online.
