Business Growth Dorset partners with UK Government to boost businesses support

Business Growth Dorset today (Friday 29 August) announces its partnership with the UK Government's Department for Business and Trade (DBT) on the new Business Growth Service, designed to make it easier for businesses across the UK, including in Dorset, to find and access the support they need to start, grow and succeed.
The Business Growth Service helps businesses to access free, expert and impartial advice, including vital local support through Growth Hubs across England.
The new service addresses feedback from businesses that support has previously been difficult to navigate, by connecting support from the UK Government with the vital services also delivered through local partners
Business Growth Dorset will continue to provide personalised support to local businesses while being able to connect them with wider government resources through the new integrated system of the Business Growth Service.
Councillor Richard Biggs, Dorset Council’s cabinet member for Property, Assets and Economic Growth said:
"This new partnership between Business Growth Dorset and the UK Government is a fantastic step forward in making business support more accessible and effective for our local enterprises.
“It aligns perfectly with our Economic Growth Strategy, which is all about unlocking Dorset’s potential through innovation, clean energy, and high-quality jobs. By connecting local expertise with national resources, we’re creating the conditions for businesses to thrive and for our communities to prosper."
Businesses in Dorset, including Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole, can also access a wider range of support from the Business Growth Service.
