Pride in Place is a government programme designed to give communities the tools and resources they need to shape their neighbourhoods and drive local change. Over the next 10 years, the programme will provide up to £2 million each year to Littlemoor and Broadwey.
Because residents understand their area best, the programme is led by local people through the new Neighbourhood Board. The board is responsible for working together with the community to develop a Pride in Place plan and making funding decisions that support long-term, positive change. The board is led by an independent chair, Kevin Hodder.
Over the summer the Littlemoor and Broadwey Neighbourhood Board has been running a community survey to find out what improvements people want. More than 720 people gave their views and the board is now building on these ideas - alongside other sources of feedback - to develop a draft Pride in Place vision and plan.
The board will present the draft plan at a series of community meetings in late October and early November. The meetings are open to everyone and there will be the chance to ask questions and give your views on the draft plan before it is finalised. Booking is not required, just turn up.
