Before I go to the library
This is our entrance. There is an automatic door on your right to enter the library.

The library is open at these times:

If I am nervous about going, I can talk to the library staff and ask questions first.

I can ask the library staff for a tour of the library.

When I visit the library
There are people who work at the library who I can talk to. I will know who they are by their badges.The staff might be wearing a mask.
The library might be busy but I will be able to browse for books for as long as I want.

If I normally wear a face covering, I can keep it on in the library.

I can also sanitise my hands when I enter the library.

How I become a member of the library
When I get to the library, I will see a desk. There will be a Perspex screen that staff will be behind.I will talk to one of the library staff there about how to become a member of the library.

I will complete a form. I will write my name, address, date of birth, telephone number and email address and sign it.

I will show them identification. This can be a driving licence, bank statement or household bill.

The library staff will give me a library card and a PIN.

How I borrow books or DVDs
In the library there will be shelves of books and DVDs.
I can borrow a book or DVD and take it home with me.
I will have to pay to borrow a DVD.

If I want to borrow a book or DVD, I will talk to a member of the library staff.
The staff will show me how to borrow the books or DVD and tell me when I need to bring it back to the library.

How I use the computer or do some printing
The library will also have some computers which are free to use.I can use a computer for an hour-long session, but I can ask for more time if I need it.
I can also do any printing or photocopying I need to. This costs 10p per page.

When I have finished, I will leave the library through the automatic doors.
