About Shared reading

Join Portland Library's shared reading group and enjoy stories and poetry in a completely new way. The group leader will read aloud and then facilitate discussion about what we have read.

Expect lively conversation and thoughtful discussion. Expect surprises and a new appreciation of the power of words.

Shared reading is suitable for all ages and abilities, including those with early-stage dementia and carers.

These sessions run weekly on Thursdays. Please contact the library to book your space.
