Coronavirus (COVID-19): updates and advice.

Dorset Authors Collection

A unique collection of works by authors and poets with a Dorset connection, including Thomas Hardy, William Barnes, John Fowles, Sir Frederick Treves, Sylvia Townsend Warner and the Powys brothers.

As well as the authors' writing, the collection includes biographies, literary criticisms of the authors' works, journals and photographs.

Additionally, the T.E. Lawrence collection is kept at Wareham Library.

The collection consists of around 5,000 items - on top of the published works of these authors and poets, there are also biographies, literary criticism, journal articles, photographs and more.

The Dorset Authors collection can be searched using the LibrariesWest online catalogue.

Most of the collection is on open access and can be browsed in the public research rooms. Some rare and less heavily used books are only available upon request.
