- order documents you want to look at
- apply for an Archives Card

What to bring
Bring your own pencils and notepaper. We do not allow pens. This is to protect the old documents from accidental ink leaks.
We allow phones, tablets, laptops and cameras. Put your devices on silent to respect other customers.
You cannot take your belongings or food and drink into the search room but we have lockers that you can use.
Taking photos
You'll need to buy a photograph permit if you want to take any photos. Permits cost £7 for a half day, £12 for a whole day, or £32 a week.
