Coronavirus (COVID-19): updates and advice.

Housing enforcement policies

Our aim is to raise housing standards in Dorset by working with owners, landlords, letting agents and tenants.

In some situations where serious health and safety concerns exist we may need to take enforcement action to ensure that necessary works are carried out.

It is important for local authorities to have a housing enforcement policy to ensure the consistency of their approach. Tenants and landlords also need to know what to expect from the service.

The policy details how we will regulate standards in private housing, park homes, houses in multiple occupation and empty properties.
