Holiday activity and food programme (HAF)
The holiday activity and food programme (HAF) gives children and young people the chance to:
- take part in activities and events
- make new friends
- be physically active
- enjoy tasty, nutritious food
- have fun during the school holidays
Children who receive Targeted Free School Meals can attend HAF activities free of charge using a holiday activity passcode.

Wraparound childcare
Wraparound childcare covers the hours outside of the school day, helping parents and carers with childcare before and after school. It is:
- for primary aged school children
- typically runs from 8am to 6pm during term time weekdays
- Ofsted registered childcare
- provided by your local school or a childcare provider
Wraparound childcare is different from out-of-school activities, or school clubs, which are less frequent and can be a one-off activity.
