The Wimborne west route is gritted as follows:
- take third exit at Canford Bottom Roundabout and continue along B3073 to Lewens Roundabout
- grit East street, King street, Pye Roundabout, up B3082 to Tarrant Keyston cross roads (True lovers Knot)
- travel along Blandford Bypass then grit Park Hill junction through Spetisbury and Sturminster Marshall to Roundhouse Roundabout
- continue to Newton Road, Kings Street, onto the High street at Roundabout and take second exit onto Station Road to A350
- grit Wimborne Road to Lytchett Matravers, Lime Kiln Road, High Street, Wareham Road and back onto Wimborne Road
- return to A350 and left onto Old Wareham Road to and around Wind Green Roundabout onto Blandford Road towards A31, left at church onto Knoll Lane continue to Broadmoor Road
- grit A350 to Upton Roundabout
- travel to A35 Morden Park Corner to grit B3075 from A31 up to A31, then up to A350 junction at Spetisbury
- return to Wind Green Roundabout onto Lockyers Road to Wimborne Road to Lake Gates Roundabout
- second exit straight across onto the B3078, second exit onto Pye Roundabout down West Street, West Borough, right onto Priors Walk to first roundabout
