Portland Neighbourhood Plan Area Referendum on 6 May 2021

A referendum will be held on Thursday 6 May 2021 to decide on the question below:

"Do you want Dorset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Portland to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

The count for this referendum will take place on Friday 7 May 2021 and the results will appear here as soon as possible after.

Your details must be included on the electoral register if you want to vote in elections and referendums.  You can register to vote on GOV.UK.

Deadline to register to vote: Midnight on Monday 19 April 2021
Deadline for postal vote and postal proxy vote applications to be received by us: 5pm on Tuesday 20 April 2021 
Deadline for changes to any existing arrangements for postal and proxy votes to be received by us: 5pm on Tuesday 20 April 2021
Deadine for new proxy vote applications to be received by us: 5pm on Tuesday 27 April 2021
Date that postal vote packs are due to be posted out to voters: For applications received up to and including 1 April 2021, postal vote packs will be posted out on 19 April 2021.
For applications received between 2 April 2021 and 5pm on 20 April 2021, postal vote packs will be posted out on 26 April 2021.
First date that voters can apply for a replacement for lost postal votes: Thursday 29 April 2021
Polling day: Thursday 6 May 2021 (polling stations are open from 7am to 10pm)
Deadline for emergency proxy vote applications to be received by us: 5pm on Thursday 6 May 2021
