A referendum was held on 2 May 2019 to decide whether local electors want Dorset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Bere Regis to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

The following question was put to voters:

"Do you want Dorset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Bere Regis to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"
