High octane fun with our adventurous parties at Weymouth Outdoor Education Centre. Indoor climbing, archery, or fire lighting skills, combined with tunnels provides both squeals of excitement and a memorable party with a difference.
- parties are suitable for ages 8 and above
- we can accommodate younger siblings upon request
- we can make reasonable adjustments for SEND and behavioural needs upon request
- no other adult supervision is required other than the party organiser(s)
- we ask for the party organiser to stay on site for the duration
- you can book parties by small groups up to 12
All activities are delivered by friendly and encouraging coaches who will ensure the safety and fun of the group throughout. Parties run on a maximum ratio of 1 instructor to 12 participants. This means you will have 1 dedicated staff member per group of 12 party goers. The ratio will be reduced to accommodate younger siblings, SEND and / or behavioural needs to ensure the group have the very best time. Not everyone will be involved directly in activities all of the time, but participants will have the opportunity to have a go as well as supporting their friends such as belaying the climbers. We ask for the party organiser to stay on site for the duration and be actively involved in the group management and pastoral care of the children. The organiser does not need to physically participate in the activities.
Land Lovers Party
Choose either indoor climbing, archery or fire lighting as your main activity, followed by the all time favourite tunnels! Enjoy exploring our cavernous indoor tunnel system and find the secret chambers including a glow up ball pit.
If you opt for climbing, we have an indoor roped climbing wall, low level traverse wall and a magnificent outdoor Portland stone tower to choose from. With one to two people climbing at once, you'll get a couple of climbs in each, with a good rest between where you can support your friends on their ascent.
Archery includes using real bows and arrows with a fully guided shoot, before getting some 'free time' on your target. With up to four people shooting at once, you will get plenty of arrows. Finished with an loud game of pop the balloons!
Fire lighting includes learning about the fire triangle, how to create a spark with a fire striker, and the safety around a firepit, before toasting a marshmallow or two on the group campfire.
